he Ministry of Agriculture and Food implements the government’s policy on agriculture, rural development, fisheries and aquaculture.
The Rural Development Directorate is Managing Authority (MA) for the Rural Development Programme (RDP). MA is responsible for management and implementation of RDP, as well as for the following activities:
• to ensure that chosen activities correspond to the applicable requirements
• to create and maintain electronic systems to collect statistical information
• to collect data on major basic indicators, including data on regional economic development as well as the data on social characteristics of rural areas
