f3 The Swedish Knowledge Centre for Renewable Transportation Fuels

f3 is a nationwide centre, which perform syntheses of current research about the production of renewable fuels as well as supplementing research, such as comparative analyses of fuels, processes , raw materials and plant design. The outcomes should provide guidance to policy makers, government, industry and other organizations that need to make decisions about the production of renewable fuels. f3 contribute to the development of sustainable biofuels by strengthening the cooperation between actors and by developing and communicating knowledge. The f3 partners include five university organisations (Bio4Energy, Chalmers, KTH, Lund University, SLU), three research institutes (IVEl, Innventia, SP) and seven industry companies (E.ON Sweden, Göteborg Energi, Perstorp, Preem, Scania, Sekab E-technology, Volvo Technology). It is funded by the partners together with the Swedish Energy Agency and Region of Västra Götaland. The centre was established in late 2010. The centre office is located in Göteborg, Sweden.
