Master in Bioenergy

The technical and scientific skills of a Master in Bioenergy are the following:

- Evaluation capacity of potential energy production from biomass and waste in order to contribute to increasing energy production from renewable sources covering the needs of Portugal and other European countries in primary energy

- Increasing energy conversion efficiency and minimizing the environmental impacts arising from it

- Ability to develop projects highlighting forest materials contributing to reduce forest fire risks and improving local, regional and national economic

- Intervention capacity in standardization and certification processes of products and production systems and processing of recyclable materials from the energy point of view

- Contribution to the improvement of biomass recovery energy technologies, including co-generation technologies, co-gasification and of joint pyrolysis of materials whit significant calorific value
