The French Environment and Energy Management Agency, an industrial and commercial public undertaking, under the joint supervision of France’s Ministers of Environment, Energy and Research that encourages, supervises, coordinates, facilitates and undertakes operations with the aim of protecting the environment and managing energy. Supports research programmes on clean, economical transport systems (electric vehicles, biomass fuels, particulate filters and etc), and new energy technologies and provides financial and technical assistance for feasibility studies that enable developers to deploy more efficient energy solutions. Supports R&D on aadvanced biofuels in France, including cellulosic ethanol, gasification, algae biofuels, etc.
