The Agricultural and Rural Development Agency MVH (Mezőgazdasági és Vidékfejlesztési Hivatal - MVH) is supervised by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. It is an independent legal entity with national powers, and a budgetary organ having own business management. MVH is an institution founded for managing the applications of the resources derived from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the ones provided by the Hungarian national budget, as well as for the allocation of the supports and the implementation of measures for the regulation of the market. In its capacity of an organization appointed by the Government and accredited by the competent authority for the purpose, it performs duties of paying agency related to the supports and other measures financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) within the framework of basic activities. The goal of the Agency is to perform its activities to the greatest possible satisfaction of its clients, while meeting the expectations of the society, and to facilitate payments in due time, with utilizing all available resources for the Hungarian rural areas to catch up.
